A board-certified nurse practitioner who is dedicated to providing personalized and comprehensive mental health care to patients in North Carolina. She believes in creating a comfortable and supportive environment, where patients feel heard and empowered to actively participate in their healthcare decisions. Specializing in both, family medicine and psychiatry, her focus here will be to address, validate, support and treat your mental health and or substance abuse issues. She is committed to health promotion, managing psychiatric illness, and focusing on your journey to healing. Her goal is to help patients achieve and maintain optimal health and mental well-being through evidence-based practice, patient education, collaborative care, psychotherapy and medication management. She received her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree in 2006, from Waynesburg University, in Waynesburg, PA, in 2006. She started working as a RN on a cardiac stepdown unit, and from there, started to pursue her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated in 2013, with a MSN, as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has experience in family medicine, urgent care, health promotion, allergy and asthma medicine neurosurgery and addiction medicine. She has been practicing addiction medicine for the past 9 years and is a well-versed provider in substance abuse. She furthered her education in 2018, starting school at the University of Cincinnati, for a post-Master's degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated in 2019 with that population focus. She is also board certified in addiction medicine, as a CARN-AP. She is passionate about helping others and is looking forward to the opportunity to serve you. She hopes to help you heal, support you on your journey and is passionate about mental healthcare in general.
